Each project is different, but the steps we take together follow a map. I have briefly explained here how things usually work so that you know what to expect…

First, an introductory meeting would take place, ideally on site (if the structure exists at this point) so that we can get to know each other and discuss the project requirements.  A clearly defined the brief creates the parameters on my blank canvas.

If you have a budget in mind, please share your ideas with me so I know if I should be shopping at Gucci or Country Road.

Any architectural drawings you have, or can obtain from your architect, agent or developer would be supplied to me as a base from which to work.

In the next few days, I will go off into a wild creative trance and then begin conducting the process of translating my ideas into visual form to show and discuss with you before we bring them into physical form.

Our next meeting will be for me to present my proposal to you.

We start with the design concept, I will show you furniture or renovation (depending on the brief) layouts, mood boards and samples of suggested materials. To outline the budget I usually provide an budget in which estimated costs for each item and / or area will be provided.

With concepts and budgets defined we move into detail.

I will provide working drawings for bespoke pieces,  specs on purchase products and exact material samples for your approval.

You will also have an itemized quotation including my standard fee of 15%. There are cases when an hourly rate or a fixed fee are better applicable. This will be defined according to the nature of the project and decided through discussion.

On acceptance of the provided quotation a 60% deposit is required in order to place orders. I will oversee manufacture and procurement while you wait patiently for 8-10 weeks while your lovely new world is in incubation. If renovation is taking place or hard finishes are being done contractor defined lead times will apply.

Delivery and installation will take place within a specified period (usually a week or two depending on the scope of work) and when I am done you will be able to walk into a perfectly transformed space!

I will bring art and accessories and style the space . Any appro items you may choose to keep or return in 24 hours.

Often clients choose to do the project in phases, which is totally doable from my side and would be something we discuss together.

I hope to hear from you soon about an exciting new project!
